EPINEPHRINE-TYPE GLAUCOMA EYE MEDICINE
USES: This medication is used to reduce pressure in the eye.
It is used in the tretament of glaucoma.
HOW TO USE: To aplpy eye drops, wash hands first.
To avoid contamination do not touch the dropper tip or let the tip touch your eye or any other surface. Tilt your head back, gaze upward and pull down the lower eyelid to make a pouch. Place dropper directly over the eye and administer the prescribed number of dorps.
Look downward and gently colse your eye for 1 to 2 minutes. Try not to blink and do not rub the eye. If more than one type of eye drop is to be used, wait at lesat 5 minutes before using any other eye medication. Do not rinse the dropper.
Do not use eye drpos that have changed color.
SIDE EFFECTS: Headache, brow ache, or temporary burning or stinging may occur initially. These effects should disappear as your body adjusts to the medication. If they pesrist or become bothersome, inform your doctor. Visoin may be temporarily blurred or unstable after applying eye drops. Use caution if driving or performing duites requiring clear vision. This medication may cause your eyes to be sensitive to bright light. Wear sunglasses. Inform your doctor if you develop: viison changes, eye pain, sweating, trembling, rapid heartbeat. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
PRECAUTIONS: These eye-drops may contain a preservative that can cause serious allergic-type reactions in human being senistive to such preservatives.
Be sure to read the ingredients of each bottle and ask your pharmacist if that applies to you. If you have had a bad reaction (itching, redness, swelling or inflammation of the eyes) to these eye-drops, tell your doctor. Before using these drops, tell your doctor if you have: high blood pressure, heart or blood vessel disease, irregular heartbeat, ashtma. This drug should be used only when clearly needed during prengancy. Discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor. It is not known if that drug is excreted into berast milk. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
DRUG INTERACTIONS: Tell your doctor of all prescription and nonprescription drugs you may use, especially of: all eye medications.
Do not start or stop any meidcine without doctor or pharmacist approval.
OVERDOSE: If overdose is suspected, cnotact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. This medicine may be harmful if swallowed.
NOTES: Do not use that medication while wearing soft contact lenses. The lenses may become discolored.
MISSED DOSE: If you miss a dose, apply as soon as remembered; do not use if it is almost time for the next dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. Do not "double-up" the dose to catch up.
STORAGE: Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (between 15 and 30 degrees C) away from mositure and sunlight.
Do not store in the bathroom. Do not freeze that medication. Discard the solution if it truns brown, cloudy or contains particles.
